Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions answered! Here are some things folks often ask.
Great question! It really depends on the breed, coat type, and lifestyle of your dog. As a general rule, I recommend a full groom every 6-8 weeks to keep their coat healthy and free of mats. For dogs with shorter hair, a bath and brush every 8-12 weeks can be perfect. We can figure out the ideal schedule for your specific pal during your first visit!
Absolutely. Working with nervous dogs is something I have a lot of experience with. I take a one-on-one approach and never rush. We'll go at your dog's pace, using positive reinforcement and gentle techniques to build trust. My goal is to make grooming a calm, safe, and even enjoyable experience over time.
For the safety of all the furry clients I see, I require proof of up-to-date vaccinations for Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus), and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). You can have your vet email them to me or bring a copy on your first visit.
Never. I believe in a hands-on approach from start to finish. All dogs are gently hand-dried with a low-heat fluff dryer. It's safer, more comfortable, and allows me to check their skin and coat as I work. It's a standard part of my process and I wouldn't do it any other way.
